Who is St. Therese of Lisieux?

Therese-de-Enfant-Jesus.jpg

Saint Therese of Lisieux was born Marie Francoise-Therese Martin on January 2, 1873, in Alencon, France. She had seven siblings, but only four survived to adulthood (and all five of the sisters became nuns).

Therese was a cheerful, happy child who also suffered terribly. Her faith was formed by the devout faith of her parents and sisters - they prayed together daily, and led a life of service to the poor, the sick, and the elderly.

There is much we can learn from the life of our beloved Little Flower. You can learn more about St. Therese and the Society of the Little Flower by visiting the website:

St. Therese is Accredited through the WCEA and our programs are examined through a rigorous process every 5 years. Our next accreditation cycle begins in 2029 with an examination of our programs in collaboration with teachers, School Advisory Council, and Catholic school leaders throughout the Archdiocese.
