Pastor and Religion Instructor
How did I get here…
· I was born and raised with my three brothers in Denver, Colorado.
· Following a few summer missionary experiences in Russia, upon graduating from high school, I joined the missionary community Family of Mary / Work of Jesus the High Priest in Europe.
· After three years of religious formation, and five years of university studies in Rome, I was ordained to the priesthood on October 28, 2003 in Fatima, Portugal with my oldest brother, Fr. Gregory White.
· 2003-2007: Responsible for the community’s house of formation (the novitiate) next to our seminary south of Rome, Italy.
· 2007 to 2023: Rector of our seminary.
· In July 2023, I was sent to the Archdiocese of Portland, first as pastor of St. Joseph the Worker parish, and shortly thereafter, moved to St. Therese where I have been pastor as of December 1, 2023.
What I teach…
· Well, hopefully what I have learned and practice! I teach the children about God and His ardent love for us. Whether it is in the classroom or in the church, whether I am speaking directly about Him or not, that is always my goal.
What I like…
· Beyond the things of the Faith, I like woodworking and carving, gold leaf and painting, pottery and just about any other craft I can try. I love power tools and getting dirty.
· I would be outdoors all day if I could. I never played many team sports, but I like hiking, running, and swimming.
